Privacy policy

What data the site collects, what for, who it passes it to and what rights you have over it.

This document explains what personal data the D-LIS Light site collects, what it collects it for, who it passes it to and what rights you have over it.

1. Who is the controller of your data

D-LIS Light
Poland

For matters concerning personal data, write to: [fill in the contact address].

2. Where we get your data from

The data comes from you - you provide it when you send the contact form, subscribe to the newsletter, create an account or write a comment. Some data collects itself the moment you enter the site: IP address, type of browser and system, date of the visit and the address of the page you came from.

3. Why we process data and on what basis

  • handling enquiries sent through the contact form - basis: our legitimate interest, namely giving you an answer (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); we keep the data for as long as the matter takes and for a year afterwards,
  • keeping the site running and secure, including protection against abuse and spam - Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; event log entries are deleted according to the retention period that has been set,
  • sending the newsletter - basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); we process the data until you unsubscribe from the list,
  • publishing comments under blog posts - basis: your consent and our interest in moderating content (Article 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR),
  • running an account on the site - basis: performance of the contract for the account service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR),
  • pursuing claims and defending against them - Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; we keep the data until the limitation period ends,
  • meeting obligations under the law, e.g. tax and accounting ones - Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

4. Is providing data compulsory

Providing data is voluntary, but without it we cannot provide the service: without an e-mail address we will not answer an enquiry or send the newsletter. Fields marked as required in the forms are necessary for sending them.

5. Who we pass data to

Data goes only to those who help us run the site, and only to the extent needed for that:

  • the hosting and mail server provider the site runs on,
  • those who support us with IT work on keeping the site running,

Data may also go to state authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

6. Transfers of data outside the European Economic Area

If any of the services listed above processes data outside the EEA, this takes place on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. You can obtain copies of the safeguards by writing to our contact address.

7. How long we keep data

Every purpose has its own period - we have listed them in point 3. Once it has passed we delete the data or anonymise it so that it cannot be linked to a person.

8. Your rights

In relation to your data you have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy of it,
  • have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed,
  • have the data erased ("the right to be forgotten"),
  • restrict processing,
  • transfer data processed on the basis of consent or a contract,
  • object to processing based on a legitimate interest,
  • withdraw consent at any time - without affecting what we did with the data before it was withdrawn,
  • lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).

We act on a request without delay, at the latest within one month of receiving it.

9. Is the data profiled

We do not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing that would have legal effects. Analytics tools, if they are switched on, count visits in aggregate and only start working after you have given consent.

10. Cookies

The rules for using cookies and similar technologies are described in a separate document: Cookie policy.

11. Security

The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Only authorised accounts have access to the management panel, and operations in it are recorded by the event log.

12. Changes to this policy

We update the policy when we change how the site works or when the law requires it. A new version applies from the day it is published on this page.

This document applies from 4 October 2026.

This text was produced from the template supplied with the site and from the details entered in the panel. Before publishing, check that it describes what the site really does - a template is no substitute for legal advice.
